Wilbur grew up in Australia, where he dropped out of high school and ran away from home, moving to the city to find work. By the time he was 20, Wilbur was a qualified mechanic — but he had the shits with the system and decided to quit his career and go on a walkabout to learn the less tangible things in life. He hitch-hiked North, South, East to West across Australia… and when his hunger for adventure was still not satisfied, he bought a one-way ticket overseas to discover the world and himself.
Wilby’s travelling style and outlook on life is unique, light-hearted and just for fun. He believes that life is best enjoyed with a grain of salt (and perhaps a little LSD) and shouldn’t be taken too seriously. He moseys around the countrysides and city streets with little forward planning, pondering philosophies, following his feelings, and living in the moment. His beliefs that the universe can work in one’s favour, and that life and death should not be feared, have enabled him to wander far from the safety and comfort of things familiar and explore the unknown, just to see what’s there to be learnt.
